Bendah Boys operates Settled, Called, and related apps available at bendahboys.com. When we say "we," "us," or "Bendah Boys," that's who we mean. When we say "you," we mean anyone who uses our apps or visits our website.
We only collect information that's actually necessary to make the apps work.
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address. That's it. Your name, Venmo handle, and Zelle handle are optional — you add them if you want the apps to pre-fill payment info. We don't verify these or share them with payment processors.
Tab and poll data. When you create a Settled tab or a Called poll, we store the content (tab name, items, people, amounts, poll question, options, votes). This is the data that makes the apps work. If you delete your account, your tabs and polls are anonymized — the content stays so shared links still work, but your name and email are removed.
Feedback. If you use the feedback button in any of our apps, we store your message and optionally your name and email if you choose to provide them. We use this only to improve the apps and respond to you if you asked for a reply.
Usage data. We collect basic usage counts — how many tabs were created today, how many polls were called this week. This is aggregate data with no personal information attached. We use it to understand which features are working.
IP addresses. We log IP addresses for rate limiting — preventing abuse like someone scripting thousands of fake polls. We don't use IP addresses to identify you personally and we don't share them.
Your data is stored on servers we control. We use standard security practices — HTTPS for all connections, hashed tokens for authentication, parameterized queries to prevent injection attacks. We are not a security company and can't promise perfect security, but we take it seriously.
We do not store payment information. Venmo and Zelle handles are plain text that you enter — we don't process or verify them.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. The only circumstances where your information leaves our servers:
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing crew@bendahboys.com. We'll process deletion requests within 30 days. Anonymized data (tabs and polls with your name removed) may be retained so shared links continue to work.
You can also update your account information, change your email, or export your data by contacting us at the same address.
If you're in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us and we'll work with you.
We use browser localStorage to remember your session and your tabs on your device. We don't use third-party cookies. We don't use cookies for advertising or tracking.
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note what changed. Continued use of the apps after changes means you accept the updated policy.
